Advocacy Work

    • Participating in proceedings at the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC)

    • Submitting evidence, arguments, and recommendations on behalf of commercial energy consumers

    • Advocating for fair rates and transparent cost allocation from utilities (e.g., BC Hydro, FortisBC)

    • Engaging with provincial policy makers and regulatory bodies on energy policy and planning

    • Responding to government consultations on energy, climate, and utility regulation

    • Promoting policies that reflect the economic needs of the commercial sector

    • Producing or commissioning technical and economic studies on utility proposals, rate impacts, and energy trends

    • Evaluating utility applications and proposed infrastructure investments

    • Identifying how changes in energy regulation or rates will affect the cost competitiveness of commercial operations in BC

    • Ensuring that businesses of all sizes—from retailers to industrial users—have a voice in regulatory processes

    • Serving as a recognized intervenor in rate hearings and other utility-related proceedings

    • Aggregating and articulating the concerns of non-residential energy users
